Sara Nabwami Nsibirwa: Never forgotten and forever loved by her siblings
Category Family Member

Sara Nabwami Nsibirwa was born on 11 October 1928 to Martin Luther Nsibirwa and Erina Nankya. Her mother pronounced her name as Saraayi / Salaayi.
Sara went to kindergarten in the Lubiri, then briefly to Gayaza primary before ending up at Budo Junior School.
It was at Budo Junior School on 10 October 1939, that Sara was ill-fatedly struck down by lightning during a thunderstorm. She was only 10 years old and it was the day before her 11th birthday, that she died
Sara died young but she must have been a very special person. At that tender age, all her siblings who were old enough to remember her, were deeply affected by her tragic demise.
The siblings were so moved by the loss of Sara that so many of them passed her name down to their children. Sara Nabwami may not have lived long enough to have children, but her clearly heartbroken siblings, had children on her behalf.
There are at least 9 Sara/ Sarah women in the generation that followed Sara Nabwami and at least 2 Nabwami's in the family.
